First Friday and Open House--Black History Month


As we celebrate Black History Month 2012, we invite you to join us as we direct our attention to four musical pioneers that made a difference; Eubie Blake, Louis Armstrong, Lena Horne and Paul Robeson. This presentation will include the talents of Yve Evans, Perry L. Brown, and members of the E&J Movement. Yve, a consummate recording artist and actress, has performed around the world including Japan, Canada, Spain, Italy and on many of the great stages of the United States. Perry L. Brown is a world class opera singer performing on stage and television. His signature roles for musical theater includes his critically acclaimed Broadway performance of "Ol' Man River" in Oscar Hammerstein II and Jerome Kern's Showboat.
