"Jurassic Encounter" Opening Reception


Friday, February 4th, marks the opening reception for the La Quinta Museum's newest exhibit, "Jurassic Encounter." The exhibit features a robotic Stegosaurus and Allosaurus, as well as a Pteranodon with a twenty foot wingspan! Visitors will be able to come face to face with a Tyrannosaurus Rex skull, and stand in the footprints of Iguanodon, Allosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex. Various fossils will also be on display including a Stegosaurus egg and a lizard trapped in amber.
This kid friendly exhibit also features an interactive dig station and table for crayon rubbings of fossils.
During the opening reception from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. February 4th, the first 200 guests will each receive a free small dinosaur bone fragment to take home!
